Note this change from the last year rules:

Explicit improved versions of programs that were released before are allowed (for example Speed up!! Gold Edition in 2007). In the running software a reference to the ABBUC software contest has to be readable, for example "written for ABBUC Contest 2008".The author will keep all rights and can use his program after the contest (from december) just as he want.

Just so nobody overlooks it ;)
