It was CMC in a majority of the LKA games. But not in all of them

Thomas have used first macroassembler ;-)
Next he have using his own tracker ;-)
(he also used Pelc Vicky Tracker)
But in fact he mostly uses (like all gurus) Mac/65

Hm, the Liebich's synthetics sounds like CMC. The way to add samples to CMC songs was described in Tajemnice Atari magazine long time ago. I also saw a program able to add samples to CMC songs.
So probably that was the way Liebich worked. Anyone knows for sure?
