Good luck with developing your ram-cart. I'm not sure but I think someboby already did a 512kB or even 1MB ram-cart in Poland. Try to find some more information in Serious Magazine (unfortunately only polish language).
I'm currently thinking about connecting 256MB or 512 MB Compact Flash card as a hard disk to my Atari. It's possible with CF2IDE interface and my KMK HDD interface, but first I have to save some money because CF cards are pretty expensive.
Axe jak ty ladnie po angielsku piszesz :D
eee tam... chyba sie domysli o co mi chodzilo 8)
yes there is a 1meg ram cartrige done by ZENON/DIAL, using SRAM chips.. i have seen a schematics of it in ATARINKA... but i havnt heared anyone who has it and can confirm that it work stable.
I made what i called a "meag-cart" pcb.. that can hold both 29f040 flash PLCC rom or 29f080 rom.. the 512k (29f040) is a flash rom that can be programmed with 5v, so it is possible to write to the cartrige while its inside the ATARI. but the 1meg rom (29f080) is OTP (One Time Programming), so its cannot be flashed.. only programmed with an EPROM burner..
here is a picture of the cart pcb... sunmark is producing this cartrige.. and putting it in a nice case & label..
Sunmark made several cartriges using this pcb.. including several 30 in 1 cartrige, a single 512k cartrige that contains 30 original 16k Atari cartriges games..

Is this cartridge will be create at Atari console 2600, 5200 ?
It would be great.
So you mean that your cart is already produced by Sunmark and they are making multiple game cartridges with it? COOL ! 8)
Is it possilble to buy an empty one so that it can be programmed with a burner?
Or were those made just for testing ? - coz you said it is in beta-test .
Good luck with those drivers - hope you finish them soosn because i think your project could be really usefull and i can't wait till i get my hands on one of those 512k ones (ive got only 64k). :D
yes, it is possible to make a 2600 or 5200 version of it.. but for the 2600 no need..
i have an 2600 system with 2001 games in it.. in a big rom.. you alter between the games with a switch.. its quite eazy to build..
