I've extracted with no problem with 7zip 9.20. Maybe you should try upgrade? Or if problem still remains, try first to save xz file somewhere in normal location, than open - Windows sometimes faces problem when opening directly files downloaded from net - I mean from temporary folder. Especially if they contain special characters (we have + here), or maybe even try to download, rename and then open.

The problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem
